Zed Towers Sheikh Zayed is a mixed-use development located in New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt. It consists of 17 towers, four of which are commercial and thirteen of which are residential, as well as a shopping centre. The total area of the project is 3.2 million square meters, making it one of the largest developments in the Middle East.
Designed by architecture firm Morphosis, the development draws inspiration from traditional Islamic architecture yet incorporates modern elements to create a unique aesthetic. The towers feature curved facades and terraced balconies that evoke motifs found in Islamic art and architecture, such as geometry and intertwining lines.
The residential towers range from 22 to 32 storeys, while the commercial towers are higher, reaching up to 48 storeys. The towers contain a variety of luxury apartment types, ranging from small studios to three-bedroom units. Facilities for residents include a gym, spa, swimming pools, and squash courts, among others. The development also features a mall, a five-star hotel, and a cultural centre.
In addition to its aesthetic elements, Zed Towers Sheikh Zayed also incorporates green technology. Solar photovoltaic panels are installed on the roofs of some of
