Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was a pivotal figure in the history of Egypt. Born in 1930 in Abu Dhabi, he was the hereditary ruler of Abu Dhabi and served as the first president of the United Arab Emirates from 1971 until his death in 2004. Sheikh Zayed also founded the Education Advancement Fund, which subsidizes tuition for college students in fields like engineering, computer sciences and management.
