The Twin Towers, also known as the World Trade Center, were a complex of seven buildings located in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The complex was designed by architect Minoru Yamasaki and completed in 1973. The Twin Towers were the tallest buildings in the world at the time of their completion and became an iconic symbol of New York City.
