Taj City Cairo-Suez Road is a four-lane divided highway located in Egypt. It connects Cairo, the capital of Egypt, with Suez, a major port city on the Red Sea. The highway was constructed in 2013, and it is estimated to cost over $2 billion. The road is part of the Alexandria-Cairo-Suez (ACS) expressway, part of a larger highway network that covers much of Egypt.
The Taj City Cairo-Suez Road is an important artery of transportation for both passenger and freight vehicles. It is the only road connecting Cairo and Suez, and as such, it carries a great deal of traffic. Interestingly, the Taj City Cairo-Suez Road also connects Cairo and Suez by air. The road has three air bridges which are used to transport passengers from one city to the other quickly.
The Taj City Cairo-Suez Road is monitored by a control room which monitors traffic patterns and accidents, as well as providing emergency response. The road also has several rest stops along the route which offer food, fuel, and lodging for travelers.
