New Capital Egypt is a planned city that is currently under construction, located approximately 45 kilometers east of Cairo, the capital city of Egypt. The city is expected to become the new administrative and financial capital of Egypt and is a major project of the Egyptian government's plan to modernize the country's infrastructure and boost economic development.

The construction of the New Capital Egypt project began in 2015 and is being carried out by the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) and the Arab Contractors Company, with an estimated cost of around $45 billion. The project is divided into several phases, and it is expected to be completed by 2052.

The city will cover an area of approximately 700 square kilometers and will be designed to accommodate up to 6.5 million residents. The New Capital Egypt project aims to address the overcrowding and congestion issues faced by Cairo, which has a population of over 20 million people.
