Obsidier Tower New Capital Egypt is an ambitious and futuristic skyscraper currently under construction in the new administrative capital of Egypt. The tower is intended to be a landmark attraction, standing tall in the heart of the city and offering a unique blend of luxury living, entertainment, and commercial spaces.

Designed by global architectural firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the tower is inspired by the natural formation of basalt rock columns found in areas of volcanic activity, such as those in Iceland. The tower's design comprises an array of hexagonal modules stacked upon one another, forming a tapering, partially inverted pyramid-like structure.

The $300 million project will be developed by Egyptian real estate developer Al Ahly Sabbour, and the tower’s construction is expected to be completed by 2022. Obsidier Tower will span an area of 101,000 square meters and is expected to reach a height of 385 meters above the ground.

The tower's unique design presents a range of challenges for its construction, but the engineers behind the project are confident that they will achieve their goal. The tower will house a mixture of luxury apartments, serviced apartments, and office space, along with high-end retail outlets, restaurants, a sky lounge, and a panoramic observation deck.
