Nile Business City is the New Capital of Egypt, located in the eastern part of the country. It is a planned city, built from scratch, and set to become the new administrative, economic, and financial center of Egypt. The development of Nile Business City is part of a wider initiative to transform and modernize Egypt's urban planning and infrastructure.
The city was conceived by President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi in 2015 and officially announced in 2018. Work on the project began in 2019 and is estimated to be completed in 2030. The planned city covers an area of around 30 square kilometers and is expected to be home to up to 5 million people.
Some of the key features of Nile Business City include a central business district, a financial and banking center, a technology hub, residential areas, an eco-park, parks, and recreational spaces, and a new international airport. The city will also have universities, hospitals, and other educational and health facilities.
The city will be connected to Cairo and other regional cities through a high-speed rail line, as well as roads and highways. Additionally, a metro system will be established to facilitate movement within the city.
