Kanyon Tower is a skyscraper located in New Capital City, Egypt. It is the tallest tower in Africa and among the tallest structures in Africa and the Middle East. Developed by KCA International and designed by Foster + Partners and AHR, it stands at 305 meters (1,001 ft) tall with 85 floors. The tower has two wings and a central core made of reinforced concrete. It is the first high-rise structure in the New Capital City.
The tower features a number of special amenities that promote efficiency, sustainability and comfort. It has a tri-stage system comprising of a dedicated cooling zone, fresh air supply, and an exhaust zone. It also has a number of green initiatives such as electrical meter monitoring, rainwater harvesting, and rooftop photovoltaic cells for clean energy production. Furthermore, it has an automated car park entrance system, fire alarm and smoke detection sensors, a chilled water tank and a single point power supply system.
