Egypt’s capital is getting a new landmark that is set to become an iconic part of its skyline: Kanyon Tower. This stunning tower, located in the New Administrative Capital, is set to reach an impressive height of 385 meters and will have 78 floors.
The Kanyon Tower is set to be the tallest building in Egypt, dwarfing the current tallest building in the country, the iconic Cairo Tower, which stands at 187 meters. The tower is being built by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) at a cost of around $2.1 billion.
The Kanyon Tower is part of a larger project that includes a commercial center, office buildings, and residential buildings. When complete, this new city will become the administrative capital, with government institutions, embassies, and corporate headquarters set to be located there.
The tower’s design is inspired by the curves and flow of the Nile River, with its glass facades featuring a unique pattern reminiscent of the river’s waves. The building will have a variety of retail and dining options, as well as luxurious residential apartments, and is set to become a new cultural and entertainment hub in the city.
The Kanyon Tower is also set to be one of the most technologically advanced buildings in Egypt, with state-of-the-art facilities that include a smart control system for energy management, high-speed internet access, and a smart parking system.
Construction on the Kanyon Tower began in 2018, and the tower is set to be completed in 2022. The tower is a reflection of the ambitious plans of the Egyptian government to develop new cities and infrastructure, with the aim of boosting economic growth and attracting foreign investment.
As one of the most notable projects currently being built in Egypt, the Kanyon Tower is set to become not only a symbol of the country’s progress, but also a must-see attraction for visitors to the capital.
