Joya 6 October is a neighborhood in the city of 6 October, Egypt. Located in the Giza Governorate, it is one of the suburban communities of 6 October City. It borders 6 October City to the south and Sheikh Zayed city to the north. The area was constructed by the Egyptian Armed Forces in the early 2000s as part of the 6 October City development project.
The area is mainly residential, but there are also several educational and medical institutions located here. It includes primary schools, a kindergarten, a high school, hospitals, and a pharmacy center. There are also several mosques and churches, supermarkets, banks, and other local shops.
The neighborhood also has its own recreational facilities, including restaurants, cafes, a movie theater, and a shopping mall. There are also tennis courts, tennis and squash clubs, a swimming pool, and a track & field stadium. Residents often visit nearby parks for leisure activities.
Due to the modern infrastructure and facilities, 6 October is considered one of Cairo's most desirable suburbs. It is home to many of the city’s upper-middle class and wealthy families, who prefer its quiet atmosphere and relative distance from the hustle and bustle of downtown Cairo.
