Jeera Sheikh Zayed is an Egyptian agricultural entrepreneur who is credited with revolutionizing the agricultural industry in his country. He is best known for introducing modern farming techniques, such as the use of improved seeds, advanced irrigation systems, and the use of fertilizers, to Egypt. Sheikh Zayed was born in the village of Jeera in the Nile Delta in 1936. He was the eldest son of a small farmer, and from an early age he showed an interest in agriculture.

At the age of twenty, Sheikh Zayed left his village and moved to Cairo to study agriculture at the University of Cairo. After graduating in 1961, Sheikh Zayed returned to his village and began to apply the knowledge he had gained in Cairo. He started by experimenting with improved varieties of crops, such as wheat and corn. He also experimented with advanced irrigation systems and fertilizers.

The results of his efforts were remarkable. Soon, Sheikh Zayed's village of Jeera was producing more than twice the amount of crops than it had before. This success attracted the attention of the Egyptian government, who appointed Sheikh Zayed as the Minister of Agriculture in 1971.

In this role, Sheikh Zayed continued to promote modern farming techniques throughout Egypt. He also founded the Egyptian Agricultural Research Centre, which has since become a major source of agricultural research and development in the country.

Today, Sheikh Zayed's legacy lives on in the form of the Jeera Sheikh Zayed Foundation, which works to promote agricultural development in Egypt and other countries in the region. The foundation also provides scholarships to students who wish to pursue a career in agriculture. Sheikh Zayed's efforts have made a lasting impact on the agricultural industry in Egypt and beyond.
