Jedar is a small, ancient Egyptian village located in the Giza Governorate, located just south of Cairo. It is an important archaeological site containing a number of monuments, including a large temple complex, the Temple of Jedar. The temple was built during the reign of the 18th Dynasty Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1390-1352 BC).

The temple complex consists of a main temple and several smaller structures, such as a small chapel and a large courtyard. The main temple is built on a raised platform and contains a number of rooms, including a large hypostyle hall and a sacred chamber. The walls of the temple are decorated with hieroglyphic inscriptions and reliefs depicting scenes of daily life and religious rituals.

The courtyard of the temple is surrounded by a series of large limestone pillars, some of which are decorated with hieroglyphic inscriptions. These pillars are thought to be the remains of an ancient calendar system, which was used to measure the passage of time and the changing of the seasons.

The Temple of Jedar is an important archaeological site that provides a unique insight into the religious and cultural life of ancient Egypt. It is one of the few surviving examples of an Egyptian temple complex that dates back to the 18th Dynasty. The site is open to the public and can be visited by tourists.
