Fountain Park is a public park located in the heart of New Cairo, Egypt. Built in 2010, it is the largest park in the city and is considered one of the premier outdoor attractions in the area. Spanning 15 acres, Fountain Park features a picturesque artificial lake, a large fountain, numerous gardens, walking paths, and family-friendly activities for all ages.
The highlight of the park is its magnificent central fountain, which is illuminated by colorful lights at night and shoots a plume of water up to 60 meters high. Visitors can also observe a variety of birds, including colorful parakeets, while strolling around the lake and gardens. There is also a skate park and basketball court, as well as a dedicated play area with slides and swings for younger children.
Fountain Park also offers visitors a variety of dining options, including cafes, restaurants, and kiosks. The park also features a small amphitheater where music performances are held throughout the year.
In addition to its recreational offerings, Fountain Park is home to a number of important monuments. These include the Al Zalem Mosque and the Al Salam Palace, both of which have been designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
