Ever 6 October is a city located in the Giza Governorate of Egypt, to the west of Cairo. It is part of the Greater Cairo metropolitan area, and is considered one of the satellite cities of Cairo. It is located on the western bank of the Nile River, close to the ancient city of Memphis.

The city was founded in the early 1970s as part of a government initiative to create new towns and cities around Cairo. The city was named after the 6 October 1973 war, during which Egyptian forces crossed the Suez Canal and regained control of the Sinai Peninsula.
