El-Karma Sheikh Zayed is a town in Egypt located in the Giza Governorate, about 20 kilometers southwest of Cairo. The town is situated on the east bank of the Nile River, and is known for its ancient monuments and archaeological sites.

The town was founded in the late 19th century by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first ruler of the United Arab Emirates. Sheikh Zayed was a descendant of the Banu Quda'a, an Arab tribe who had settled in the area centuries earlier. Sheikh Zayed established the town as a farming community and built a mosque, a school and a market.

The town is home to several important archaeological sites, including the ruins of the ancient city of Memphis, the necropolis of Saqqara and the Great Pyramid of Giza. It is also home to the El-Karma Mosque, which was built by Sheikh Zayed in the late 19th century and is one of the oldest mosques in Egypt.

El-Karma is an important center of Islamic learning, and is home to numerous Islamic schools, including the El-Karma Islamic University, which was founded in 2009. The town is also home to a number of cultural and religious festivals, such as the El-Karma Festival of Arts and Culture, which is held annually in October.

The town is also known for its traditional cuisine, which includes dishes such as koshari, a dish made of rice, lentils, macaroni and tomato sauce, and ful medames, a dish of cooked fava beans. El-Karma is also known for its traditional handicrafts, including pottery, basket weaving and jewelry making.
