The Central Iconic Tower is a new skyscraper that is currently under construction in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt. The tower is set to become one of the tallest buildings in Africa, standing at a height of 385 meters (1,263 feet) with 78 floors.
The tower is being developed by the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) and is expected to be completed by 2022. The project is part of the Egyptian government's plan to develop the New Administrative Capital, which is located about 45 kilometers east of Cairo.
The Central Iconic Tower will serve as a centerpiece of the new city, which is being built to alleviate congestion in Cairo and provide a modern administrative hub for the government. The tower will house offices, hotels, and luxury apartments, as well as a shopping mall and a public observation deck.
The tower's design is inspired by the lotus flower, which is a symbol of rebirth and regeneration in Egyptian culture. The tower's exterior will feature a series of curved, petal-like elements that will create a dynamic, organic form. The tower will also incorporate sustainable design features, such as solar panels and a rainwater harvesting system.
