Cairo Festival City New Cairo is a new mixed-use development located in New Cairo, Egypt. The development is located on a sprawling 400,000 m2 of land and is set to become the largest shopping, leisure and entertainment destination in Egypt.
The development is a joint venture between the Egyptian government and the Dubai-based Majid Al Futtaim Group. It will feature a variety of retail outlets, entertainment venues, restaurants, hotels, and other services. It is estimated that the development will cost around $2.5 billion to build.
Cairo Festival City will be the first of its kind in Egypt and is expected to become a major tourist destination. It will feature a variety of attractions, including a world-class shopping mall, a cinema complex, an indoor amusement park, a water park, an ice rink, and a variety of other leisure and entertainment facilities.
The development will also feature a number of luxury hotels, such as the five-star Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino, a five-star Radisson Blu Hotel, a four-star InterContinental Cairo Citystars, and a four-star Ritz-Carlton Cairo.
Cairo Festival City is set to open in 2021 and is expected to attract over 10 million visitors each year. It will create more than 10,000 jobs and is expected to contribute significantly to the Egyptian economy.
