Badya 6 October is a city located in the Giza Governorate of Egypt. It is located on the western edge of the Nile River, about 30 kilometers southwest of Cairo.

The city was founded in the late 1970s and is named after the 6th of October 1973 war, in which Egyptian forces crossed the Suez Canal and launched a surprise attack on Israeli forces. It is now a major industrial center, with a population of over 1.5 million people.

The city is home to a number of factories and industrial plants, including a large steel mill, a cement factory, a paper mill, and a number of food-processing plants. It is also home to a number of universities, including the Badya 6 October University of Technology.

The city is home to a number of historical sites, including the Badya Mosque, the Mausoleum of Sultan Qaitbay, and the Badya Palace. It is also home to a number of parks and gardens, including the Badya 6 October Park, which is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

The city is well-connected to Cairo and other parts of Egypt by a network of highways and railway. It is also served by an international airport, which is located just outside the city limits.
