Badya 6 October is a new city located in Egypt, designed to become a model for sustainable urban development. The project was announced in 2018 and is being developed by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) in collaboration with the private sector.
The city is located in the 6th of October Governorate, about 38 kilometers from Cairo. The total area of Badya 6 October is 10,000 hectares, and it is expected to accommodate a population of up to 4 million people.
Badya 6 October is designed to be a smart city, with a focus on sustainability, innovation, and technology. The city will feature green spaces, pedestrian and bike-friendly streets, and an integrated public transport system. It will also be powered by renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power.
